MYM|Maelk: While the overall heroes might look the same; Sandking, QoP, Zeus, Lina, Viper, Nerubian Assassin, it's worth noticing that new heroes are introduced into competitive play every so often. Nerubian Assassin wasn't a famed hero until Denmark and Russia started using it, and Faceless Void has just recently had its era. I wouldn't be surprised that, with the current meta game, Windwalk Heroes - very good escapists and at the same time amazing gank-heroes - will see more play. Personally, I feel a hero such as Phantom Lancer is very underestimated and is easily the only late gamer a team needs. I don't think it is necessarily boring. I think the mediocre teams that need to prove themselves are doing what needs to be done in order to achieve results: Use what they know works. You do, however, see teams such as VP and MYM not being afraid of trying out something different. VP has introduced Pudge, Bounty Hunter and other iffy heroes that they have been successful with and MYM has proven that both pushing-strategies as well as alternative laning can easily compete with todays standard strategies. | |
